Our hats (if we were currently wearing them) would be off to Anne Hathaway and Jeremy Strong, who dialed up the fashion for the New York Film Festival premiere of their movie Armageddon Time. To be fair, they’ve both been pretty reliable red carpet players every time they stepped out on one, but the NYFF doesn’t always see this level of glam at its events.

Annie, you had us until we scrolled to the bottom. While the boots are stunning, we think they’re entirely too much paired with that dress, which is also stunning. It’s just too much stunning at once, dear. We think we’d have liked this as a full-length gown with a much simpler pair of metallic sandals, although that would render it in a much more conventional form and we suppose the appeal of a look like this is the unexpected factor.
Jeremy Strong
No notes except to point out that his shirt cuffs are way too long, but we figure that was a deliberate choice. Other than that, he looks fantastic. The color is fun, but not whimsical and we really like the unusual closure on the jacket. The pinkie ring is a nice touch.
