Miss Gugu is having herself a busy promo week and she’s got the focus-pulling frocks to prove it. Before she stepped out in a gorgeous chartreuse McQueen number for the premiere of Surface, she stopped by Today in this cute little semi-throwback:
We say “semi-throwback” because it doesn’t necessarily embody vintage or retro styles, it just feels like it does, if that makes any sense. Love the color and the spaghetti straps and the beaded lace, but the hem length is awkward and we wish the lace didn’t extend past it. What’s really making this look is the accessorizing. LOVE the shades, bag and sandals. They really lighten an already light dress and give the whole look a Summer Chic feel to it, which is refreshing in a month when so many stars insist on wearing coats and turtlenecks during a heatwave.
