Let’s be a little mean.
This looks like a sad trombone sound in clothing form. All that foofaraw and all you got to show for it was some tepid applause when your name was announced and to watch someone else pick up the trophy. To be fair, we love when any man gets his peacock on, but he’s been dressing in these ice cream salesman Gucci suits for a while now and the returns have been steadily diminishing over time, even if we did mostly praise the one he wore last week. We suppose he deserves some credit for attempting to travel in an ice blue satin 3-piece suit, but it looks a wrinkled mess. The silly tie isn’t helping, nor are the gloves which clearly don’t belong with this outfit. We can’t quite call it “try hard,” because he’s been dressing like this for years, but we’ll say this (saving the meanest part for last): He’s too straight and starting to get too old to make this sort of look work for him.
