Maybe Ariana DeBose winning the SAG Award for Supporting Actress came as a surprise to some, but not to anyone who saw her star-making turn in West Side Story. We’re thrilled for her and we can’t wait for the film to hit streaming this week so everyone gets a chance to see how electrifying she is. We wish we could say we love it. The color is gorgeous on her. Her makeup is flawless and we’re loving the haircut. The necklace is a stunner. But this frock has a shape that’s hard to work. And we just don’t love the airbag on the back. It looks like there’s an entire second dress hanging off her. She’s doing a lot to sell it because she has a surplus of personality and mega-watt smile, but this wasn’t a fave of ours.
