“The Unforgivable” Star Sandra Bullock in Temperley London at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

We don’t know if purple suits are about to become a trend among the celebrity set. We need three instances in order to make that prediction and Sandy’s fabulous Prince turn is only the second one of the day. All we know is this:

It’s one of the best semi-casual looks we’ve ever seen her wear. Back in her more hardcore awards campaigning days, she stuck to a pretty strict regimen of shimmery looks in neutral colors and hair so pin-straight it looked starched. It worked for her; giving her that sense of mega-star glamour paired with prestige actress seriousness right as she transitioned into mature roles and helping her snatch that Oscar. But it’s great to see here all boldly colorful, loosened up, and even a little whimsical. We might have predicted a velvet suit for her, but we’d never guess she’d go for those frilly cuffs. We’re not sure about the shoes, but they’re at least a notable and counter-intuitive choice.
