“Did you see Tessa Thompson at the Gotham Awards?” Lorenzo asked Tom at their late-night editorial meeting. “She looks stunning.” Tom ran excitedly (some creative license may or may not have been applied here) to his computer, to check the wires. After taking in the below pictures, he called out, “You did say the Gotham Awards, right? Tessa Thompson at the Gotham Awards?” This, darlings, is where you come in.

We are not in agreement. Lorenzo, as noted, thinks this is a stunner. Tom has quibbles, mostly with the shape and the textile. Lorenzo thinks the styling – specifically the beehive and the leather gloves – take this look somewhere way more interesting than the usual red carpet fare. Tom thinks she should have worn the boots. Help save our marriage, kittens. Settle this debate for us.
