We’re telling you now that we don’t exactly love this outfit. But after her co-star Vanessa Hudgens served up such a disappointing mess on the red carpet, we can at least give Alexandra Shipp credit for understanding the assignment. This is a night for making an impact and this look is the equivalent of a fashion meteor.

It’s not what we’d call an elegant look, but she’s definitely serving ELEGANZA. We really don’t like that green textile at all and we tend to think it’s all much more interesting with the jacket on. But the skirt is unforgettable and we love the hair and hoops. The effect of the former looks like she’s wearing a tiara. We were actually disappointed to find out she wasn’t. Still, we think this would all come together pretty nicely for us if the entire top half were rendered in a richer color and textile.
