Kiki sticks with the good stuff for her Venice jaunt. We noted yesterday that her Ferragamo outfit was good career politics (showing up for the Venice Film Festival in an iconic Italian brand) and indicated an appealingly ambitious take from an actress who sometimes wondered if she didn’t play the self-promotion game enough in her career. She’s back on the red carpet in a high-end gown that reads “prestige actress” all the way and like the good game-player she is, it’s another iconic Italian fashion house.
Ironically, it looks a lot like a Rodarte, which tends to be her favorite go-to. She looks very chic and elegant. The design isn’t going to win any innovation awards, but as lacey black sheer dresses go (reminder: in the Before Times we ranted about these things for years), this one looks great.
