Kate Beckinsale’s got a sort of loud and obvious film dropping (see below) and we think she settled on pretty much the exact right promo style for it: big and obvious. It also happens to be more or less her go-to style, which tells us she’s a gal who tends to keep things rather simple.
No wheels are being reinvented here. We might even consider the dress to be a weensy bit on the basic side if she’d worn it on a red carpet. But the exuberant silhouette paired with the lack of color make it kind of fun to look at onscreen. Her face is highlighted, she looks comfy, and when she’s sitting down she gets to show off those fabulous sandals. It may not be the most fashion forward of looks, but it’s perfect for her in this setting.
Wow, what an amazing cast for what looks like an incredibly dumb movie! On the other hand, the action genre is practically flooded with generically dumb films and very few of them feature a 48-year-old British actress in the lead, breaking faces and taking names. This might be worth a sideways view, lying on the couch.
