Miss Isla’s got a sweet-as-spun-sugar Disney movie out on streaming and we’ve been pleasantly surprised by how on-point her promo style is, hitting that exact sweet spot dead center between trendy and Disneyfied. Precious, but make it fashion. It helps that looks like this one suit her, because they are very much user-dependent, i.e., not for everyone:
You’ve got to be able to handle a LOT of elements at once in order to pull this one off; the color, the print, the pleats, the pussy bow, and according to the runway and look book shots below, an asymmetrical hem.
It’s interesting that she bypassed the more edgified runway styling and chose to let the garments be the garments, without anything else adding to, distracting from, or contextualizing them. She and her team seem to have a handle on the situation because we can’t find one thing out of step here. It’s just a perfect look – possibly for her alone.
