Miss Renée sticks to her guns and gets Prada to do right by her.
It’s not so much that we love this; it’s more that we’re impressed by it. Success has its perks, and when you’re an actress on the awards track with high name recognition and a rigid sense of style, you can get practically any high-end fashion house to strip away its own aesthetic just for the chance to dress you. Very little of this looks like Prada to us except in that vaguely midcentury aesthetic the brand is known for. Personally we find it a little dull overall, and the treatment around the shoulders unnecessary (even though it’s the only interesting element in the whole look), but it’s what your girl loves and she’s not going to be talked out of it at this stage. We just wish she’d agreed to bump up her hair and makeup, as well as her jewelry, for the Big Night.
