And by that we mean the whole look. We kind of like the dress; the color is gorgeous and photographs really well. The slightly off-the-beaten-path quality of the design really suits her, because she seems to do better with looks that are just a little weird. We have a tendency to like Monse’s designs, but we know they’re not to everyone’s tastes. The asymmetrical hem and that goofy sleeve situation are admittedly a little tough for us to get past – or at least they would be normally, but as we said, the off beat tends to be very friendly to her.

Having said that, we are once again imploring her to get over her fondness for the supertight topknot. She’s got a wide, heart shaped face we don’t think this style suits it at all. And while we’re at it, we can’t say were in love with the sandals. The silver is a great choice, but the style is only so-so to our eyes. There’s also the point that a dress like this, with styling like that, probably calls for jewelry with a bit more oomph. On the other hand, the whole look is a bit much for a luncheon. Adding bigger or more showy jewelry pieces would probably be a mistake. Much to discuss!

So discuss, kittens:
