Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith at the “Gemini Man” Los Angeles Premiere

Somehow it seems appropriate that these two come out to support each other so strongly and consistently, but whenever they do, they never seem to coordinate their outfits. There’s this sense that they will always support the other one but never stop or limit their own branding process.

They are each making very strong style statements and not showing any particular concern or interest in what the other one is wearing. Maybe it’s because we’re a couple that’s been working side-by-side for over a decade, but we find this kind of admirable. It works for them.

These outfits, on the other hand, aren’t entirely working. His jacket’s nice and we don’t even mind the stripe on his pants but the white shirt looks flimsy and too casual, and we’re not sure the white buttons work either.

As for Miss Jada, we like this general style for her, but the details just aren’t coming together. We hate to say it but those textiles look cheap and loud. The color isn’t photogenic for her and the beaded strands hanging from the shoulders are too heavy and look too much like they should light up. It’s rare for us to dislike a Jada style jawn, but we just don’t see anything here that’s working well.
