As we’ve noted with each of the spotlight posts for this event, the Governors Awards are where the award-hungry go to stake their claims. She’s got one hell of a prestige biopic opening soon (see below) and, as a gifted aficionado of promotional fashion, Miss Cynthia knew this was the moment where she had to come out big and loud. Literally.
SHABLAM
Continue that statement well and truly made, Miss Thing. What a stunner of a look. And we feel like she’s the only person who could make it look this dramatic in this way. The hair and the shades are perfect accompaniments to that big, loud, space-taking, romantic heroine drag of a gown. We’re just a little sad that she couldn’t bring a wind machine with her. If ever a frock deserved a strong gust of wind to set it off, this would be the one. She should be standing on a cliff somewhere, arms wide.
