We actually had a Rachel Brosnahan post lined up next on the roster, but then we figured she’s way too close to Blanchett in her style choices (something we never truly realized until now) and we’re all about switching things up to keep you guys on your toes. We think several servings of Blanchett in Hepburn mode deserve a shaking up of the style palate and nothing on our roster of posts today swerves harder away than Miss Ciara serving up her brand of red carpetry at an event designed to showcase attention-seeking beauty and practically requires that its attendees be just a skosh extra. Miss C? That’s your cue:
Like we said, BeautyCon practically begs you to come in hot if you’re planning on attending and posing for pictures. She’s not exactly reinventing the wheel by pairing black thigh-high stiletto boots with a girly mini-dress, but she’s on-brand and on-point. The dress manages to hit that sexy-girly spot while still being a little visually interesting and thoughtful in its design. In other words, this all works just fine for us.
We’d be interested to see someone interpret this dress a little differently. Sandals and killer shades, for instance, would give it an entirely different feel.
