It kills us that we had to miss a screening of this one because of all the Met Gala happenings. We’d love nothing more than to be writing a review of the film because it looks freaking hilarious. For some reason, these two paired up seems like such a no-brainer of an idea that it feels like this should be their fifth or sixth film project together.
In other news, they look fantastic.
Rebel Wilson in Christopher Kane
Her red carpet game is MILES away from where it was just a few weeks ago. She’s landed on the shapes and styles that work best for her and she’s been mixing them up perfectly. Love the neckline here. We’d have loved to have seen more color in the look, but it’s clear she and Anne were going for a coordinated form of chic formality here. Also: she could have used way more jewelry. Or any jewelry at all.
Anne Hathaway in Elie Saab
This is not only one of our fave Anne Hathaway looks in we don’t know how long, it’s also our fave take on the formal red carpet jumpsuit in forever. LOVe the beaded applique. And somehow, despite always complaining about trains or long trailing sashes added to pantsuits and jumpsuits, this one seems to work perfectly for us.
Collectively, they’re hewing pretty close to the advertising for the film (see below) but tailoring it more to themselves rather than their characters. Nice job all around.
