Slay lady, slay.
That is just too cute for words. Did the world want or need a schoolgirl/formal menswear hybrid? We don’t know the answer to that. We just know that we’re happy Thom Browne thought it up and even happier that it wound up on Miss Janelle, who knows exactly how to make this look work for her. We like the sort of formal take on knee-socks, but we’re not convinced on the footwear. A slightly more substantial, above-the-ankle bootie would have been our rec. And we’d have probably suggest losing the bag because those tiny handbags tend to look more like props on a red carpet. These are minor quibbles, however. It’s a super-cute, chic, and head-turning look that suits her perfectly. We’re just a little surprised she didn’t opt for a hat of some sort. It’s her trademart look and it feels like this ensemble is just begging for one.
