When you wash the blood off them, your new horror icons look pretty stylish.

Not one to drive a look into the ground, Miss Lupita’s backing off her more Thriller-inspired looks, but she’s still serving up some dangerous fashion. You cover yourself in spikes and you’re not exactly sending a non-threatening, warmly inviting image. We like the look for its smart undertones and for being something a bit unusual for the red carpet. The braids are great. The makeup, not so much. The gothy, bloody-looking horror makeup worked with a few of her other promo looks, but it doesn’t marry well with this outfit.

It’s pretty and sophisticated, but doesn’t feel precocious for a 13-year-old. It was wise to keep the other elements like the hair, makeup and jewelry low-key.

Mister, someone really did you wrong when they sent you this suit. It’s nice enough (a bit shinier than we’d like), but the fit on that jacket is absolutely terrible. Personally, we don’t think he needs to resort to such conventional menswear on the red carpet. There’s room for him to wear things other than badly fitted suits. This is a man born to wear sweaters. Get him in some lightweight knits, tailored pants and boots, please.
