We highlighted a few of the more notable looks at this year’s CDGAs, with Miss Sarah serving us Mother Superior of the Church of Vader, Miss Danai serving us Billie Holiday getting read for bed, and Miss Sonequa serving us … throw pillow, but it’s time to round up the only mildly eye-popping looks of the night for consideration. As we said, people tend to get a little goofy with their choices for this one.
Glenn Close in Max Mara
She’s still on that glam-pantsuit kick we pointed out. Can’t really say we love this one. The idea of an all-silver suit on her sounds great, but this is huge and unflattering.
Halle Berry in Sebastian Gunawan
Macaroni art on a paper plate. This doesn’t belong on a red carpet, it belongs on a refrigerator.
Judith Light in Marc Bouwer
This is pretty fabulous in a slinky, lizard-lady kind of way, but the length is really awkward. And we tend to think if hosiery is a must, then a black sheer pair would photograph much better.
Kate Walsh in Monsoori
Goth shower puff.
Marisa Tomei in Dundas
Love the style, shape and color story, but the print is kind of muddy and un-photogenic.
