We still have one more installment in our Vanity Fair Oscars red carpet coverage, but we thought we’d take a short break from that to check in on the folks at Oscar night’s loudest, tackiest party, the Elton John AIDS Foundation shindig.
Camila Cabello in Miss Sohee Couture
Did we mention that this was the tackier Oscar night party? Case in point. The gown would be tremendously improved by the removal of the beaded fringe. The necklace is hilariously wrong.
Christina Hendricks in Lizzie Agnew Couture
Very pretty and well-suited to her.
David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris
We want to ding them on the color choices but the longer we look at them, the more we like them.
Donatella Versace in Atelier Versace
A quietly spectacular gown.
Dylan Mulvaney in Celia Kritharioti Couture
It’s pretty enough, but pink and white don’t look great on her.
Heidi Klum in Marmar Halim
Meh. Looks kind of cheap and it’s giving her wildly uneven boobage.
Jean Smart in Versace
The color looks great on her and the beading is nice. That gold button, while a Versace signature, looks a little cheap here.
Lana Condor in Georges Chakra Couture
Pretty much the quintessential Oscar party dress.
Maria Bakalova
Cute.
Megan Thee Stallion in Julian Mendez Couture
It’s pretty wild that her Elton John party gown is more demure than her Vanity Fair party gown.
Michaela Jaé Rodriguez in MaisonMet
It’s pretty but we’re just about ready to declare a moratorium on these “swaddled in fabric” style gowns.
Sheryl Lee Ralph in Valdrin Sahiti
She doesn’t look very comfortable in it and it doesn’t deliver the kind of impact that would make any discomfort worth it.
Xochitl Gomez
It’s cute, but she looks like a cruise line performer.
Zooey Deschanel (in Versace) and Jonathan Scott
It’s nice to see her attempt to get away from the cutesy-twee styles she’s favored for decades. This outfit’s kind of awful, but we’ll give her a grace period to figure it out.
