Kittens, this weekend, the PGAs were the latest box to be ticked off on the awards season advent calendar and the red carpet results were pretty much what you’d expect if you’re the type to have any expectations regarding what famous people wear to public events. Generally, the PGAs aren’t as star-studded as other awards shows, which tends to make it a place and time where celebrity folk either loosen up a little in their fashion or sport something a bit goofier than their norm. That doesn’t necessarily apply to Miss Emma’s efforts here, since she’s no stranger to red carpet goofiness. Still…
This is kinda goofy.
We don’t mind the sunflower neckpiece, but we sure as hell mind everything else. That butter yellow looks awful on her and the shape of the dress is pretty unflattering, erasing her bust and waist and drawing the eye straight to her hip. But aside from all that, which could be largely corrected by switching the dress to black, we can’t get over how wrong that hair is for her; both the style and the color. We realize she’s a serious actress and she’s on the awards track, but that is some dour and dire hair action. Lighten up. Literally.
