Darlings! A reminder that the second season of the most eye-poppingly stylish show on television drops today! And to mark the occasion, here’s its star, wearing something … you guessed it – EYE-POPPING:
We’ve said it once this season but it bears repeating: it feels like the stars are leaning way harder into holiday-appropriate red carpetry this year than in recent ones. Personally, we LOVE this. It’s got an interesting combination of severity and whimsy to it. She looks like she works at the Ministry of Magic or something. On the other hand, we have nothing but sympathetic agreement with those who think the neckline cutout is too much, or the lace-trimmed pointy collar is a bridge too far, or even those who might think the combination of peplum and pleats is too much for one poor suit to handle. We do not, however, stand in solidarity with those who might conclude that this textile looks like upholstery. It’s FABULOUS. Either way, feel free to hash it out. If nothing else, you’ve gotta love a gal who can serve up a discussable look.
