Amandla’s been out there, keeping things pretty tight on the style front as she promotes her critical-buzz film. She’s all-in on the poledance and she’s branding herself pretty well in the process. There’s nothing more fun for us to cover than a starlet figuring out the style and promo ropes as she climbs the ladder, to somewhat HORRENDOUSLY mix our metaphors.

What is not to love here? Sure, the outfit might be considered Hollywood-standard in a lot of ways (we’ve seen PUH-LENTY of black sequined dresses with tuxedo jackets over them in the last year), but the footwear choice brilliantly recasts the whole look as something youthful, cheeky, and low-key in attitude despite all the glitter and finery.

This one’s a bit harder to love. From the front, it’s all good – or mostly good, anyway. We’re not entirely sure those fierce booties are right for that skirt shape and length. But that would be a minor complaint compared to the attack of fabric happening at her back. She looks like she’s toting around a sleeping bag for later.
