Kittens, those hard-workin’ celebrity folks are leaning in as the fall entertainment season (and all its lovely awards) swings into high gear. And while few of these looks rated much of a second look, we can at least show a little appreciation for all the poledancing going on right now. Dance for us, stars. And then stand by for our judgment.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson
A very hot man in a dull suit that does nothing for him and even comes off a little unflattering. Tsk.
Alexander Skarsgård
A very hot man in a slightly less dull suit that flatters him and makes him look cute. Still a little dull, though.
Chrissy Metz
Miss Chrissy embracing boldness is never a bad thing. Love the textile and colors; don’t love the tulip hem or the trim.
Debra Messing
Metallic, leather and platforms. We’d have told her to ditch one of these options; probably the leather. The blouse and shoes would’ve looked great with a pair of black pants.
Jennifer Hudson
It’s a little basic and the slit’s way too high, but it’s glamorous and the velvet is used really well. The fit is pretty impressive.
Joe Alwyn in Prada
A beautiful suit, pair of shoes and head of hair.
Judy Greer in Saloni
It’s a simple but flattering style and shape, but we don’t like that shade of green at all.
Maggie Gyllenhaal in Christian Dior
We don’t know why but for some reason, this looks incomplete without straps. Cute enough, though.
Michaela Coel
We almost never love those split sleeves and truth be told, we think the fit here is not so great, but she cuts such a fierce figure we can’t help but be a little smitten.
Naomi Watts
Tasteful and well-fitted. We would normally rail against the neutral, but it suits her and seems to be part of the point of the look.
Noomi Rapace
Little Drag Queen on the Prairie.
Olga Kurylenko
Yawn.
Olivia Munn in Prabal Gurung
Definitely not loving the split sleeves here, but it’s a good look for her otherwise.
Olivia Munn
Jane Fonda told us to tell you to make sure it’s dry-cleaned before you return it to her.
Robert Pattinson in Dior Homme
Gotta respect a man who sports a semi-sheer dress shirt with his Dior suit. He’s pulling it off, too.
Rose Byrne in Les Coyotes de Paris
Miss Rose, however, is not pulling off that hair. Fun dress, though.
Steve Carell
Can’t really argue with any of that.
Zoe Saldana
It’s table-clothy and we really hate the lace trim, but the colors look fantastic on her.
