Is it time to start squeeing yet?
We admit, we were dubious on the whole idea of a second season of Big Little Lies, since the now-first season told a perfect tale; beginning, middle and end. As much as we fell in love with the characters, we didn’t feel the need to know more, and feared the distinct possibility of a disappointing second season retroactively casting a pall over the beloved first one. But seeing them both back in their distinct costumes (which we wrote about here and here last year), and knowing that somewhere, Meryl is getting into character as Nicole’s mother-in-law, has us suddenly feeling very excited about visiting Monterey again.
