We don’t generally like overworked dresses, but this one manages to keep its own excesses subtle.

It helps that the harsh lighting washes out all that ruching and shirring. The pale pink looks great on her and the silhouette is perfect for her. Hate the scarf-thingies hanging off the back. Never did like that sort of detail. Always looked a little too “drag” to us.

Are we sounding like a broken record when we say the shoes seem off? Are we wrong there? They look heavy and the color isn’t really working.

We said this about Amy Adams’ outfit yesterday, but it’s even more true of this one: she looks like a fabulous dancer or dance teacher. Are dancers having a fashion moment? Are dancers the new style icon?
