This is mostly not notable in any significant way, but it’s cute, it totally suits her, and we honestly can’t find one element of this look to criticize. It all works. That’s pretty rare with her. Usually we’re cringing at the lipstick shade or the pair of shoes or something. But no, this comes together nicely in a totally Rashida way.

    It’s Rashidariffic!

No? It’s ok, I’m a bit punchy. I’ve been up writing for 28 hours.

    • Glam Dixie

      Get some rest!

    • demidaemon

Yikes! Time for a well-deserved rest.

  • Glam Dixie

Her makeup looks strange to me. The dress is cute on her. That’s all I’ve got.

    • PastryGoddess

Whoever did it, did a shitty job of blending. I can see all of the contouring lines, especially on her nose

    • sojourneryouth

Her lipstick is also a touch too Barbie pink. A different shade would have worked better.

  • rkdgal

I cannot understand her bangs problem. I’ve had bangs forever, and they NEVER look like this. Does she try to style them this way? If so, how –let’s not even discuss WHY — does she do it? Her kingdom for a comb!

    • Ginger

My hair naturally does that, which is one of the reasons that I don’t have bangs. She doesn’t have an excuse though…not when she can have an army of stylists fix it before she steps out of the limo.

    • Darcy H

I gotta say, when I had straight bangs like hers mine did that too. Granted, my mom also cut my hair soooo….

    • Fuchaforever

EXACTLY! THANK YOU. I don’t get it. I though I was the only one with the bang issue.

    • Aldona Dye

After I haven’t washed my hair for a day, my bangs do this. But that’s no excuse for a public appearance + hers never look flattering just based on the cut, greasy look aside.

    • carolina_dawn

      So agree!

  • @Biting Panda

  • your face

I don’t know…that sheer panel makes her boobs look bunchy. Kind of hate the collar. Hair and makeup are okay I suppose, but not great. She always looks so damn cute on Parks and Rec, I don’t understand why it so rarely translates to real life.

  • Mothra

I don’t find it terribly flattering but at least it isn’t offensive.

  • KinoEye

Girl, that IS your dress. I can’t tell because of the lighting, but I do wish the hem was a little shorter. Probably wasn’t altered from the runway version, and it looks like that type of material doesn’t lend itself to a temporary hemming.

    • marlie

I was about to say that about the hem length too, but the photo is taken at such a weird angle that I can’t really tell where it hits.

      • demidaemon

I’m with you on the hem-length. If the model shot is to be referenced, the hem should be significantly shorter than Rashida’s version. I think a definite compromise between the two would be perfect.

  • Sarah

Her chest looks moldy. That’s all I got.

    • Fuchaforever

Moldy? As in cheese mold? What do you mean?

      • Bexxx

        Supersized mold spores!

        • Fuchaforever

Ah! Ok! My coffee hasn’t kicked in yet….lol

        • sojourneryouth

Oh great. I still like the dress, but now I can’t un-see bread mold colonies.

      • Sarah

Yup that pattern looks like moldy cheese growth. Reminds me of college biology when we grew bacterial cultures.

        • Shawn EH

I think they’re probably shells, though, right? Little bit nautical, beach vibe? Swanky coastal party nautical?

        • Fuchsiaforever

Oh, was never into science and stuff. 😀

  • random_poster

The dress is cute and I like her make-up, but I bet it looked better in person. I’d never have pegged her as one to write a column for Glamour magazine.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

What will she be writing about?

      • demidaemon

        Style? 😉

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

    Personal best.

  • Fuchaforever

SO cute I love it. I would wear it all in a second. Job well done Rash. Now, those bangs….they have always REALLY bugged me, GGRRRRR!!!!

  • Danielle

Brava! Keep this style up, girl. It’s werqing.

    • LadyLuck777

Totally not on topic, but I lurve your avatar. The soundtrack cost a bunch though.

  • Imasewsure

Cute enough but EPIC for beautiful (but style challenged) Rashida. Love her

  • marlie

I love this! This might be a personal best for her. The shoes are a really nice touch.

  • Kitten Mittons

Meh. I want to make too many adjustments. I’m not crazy about this one.

Guess all my good will wore off.

  • Jacob Bowen

She doesn’t look like she has to TRY to sell this outfit, which is why I LOVE it so much! Cute!

  • Gatto Nero

    Well done.
I would have liked a warmer lipstick shade for her skin tone, but that’s all I’d change.

  • crash1212

Nicely done. I think a less pink lip would’ve been a nice way to go and I wish her bangs weren’t separating in that weird way and I wish she’d stand up straight – but – she looks really cute in that dress and her shoes are killer.

  • MilaXX

It’s mostly good but the hair is a little depressing looking.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

LOVE that dress. It’s what you want to wear to the party of the season.

  • Sophie

Don’t like the lipstick. The rest is cute, I like the motif on the top.

  • alyce1213

Lovely dress, looks great on her, and I like the silver shoes. I really wish she’d do something with her hair, ANYTHING.

  • E. D.

    Don’t like the lip color.

  • decormaven

Best dress ever for her. Yay!

  • mrspotts66

    love the dress on her.
the pink lipstick is not doing anything for me.

  • ashtangajunkie

    Honey, the hair. Seriously.

  • Kelly

The dress looks good on her. The hair — well, I generally don’t care for such straight-cut bangs on anyone over 13 or so. And I’m afraid that eye makeup looks like the DIY jobs my friends and I tried in junior high school in 1970 — way too much, and we didn’t know what we were doing.

  • Cyprienne Zed

So much better! / Fix your head!

  • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

    She looks fabulous.

  • amanda lynn

This is totally something that if I was in high school right now I’d feel like I’d want to wear this to prom.

  • TwiddlyStun

Oh, you can still cringe at this lipstick. Go ahead.

  • ShaoLinKitten

Except that wrinkle above her left boob is giving me fashion OCD…
PS–If she’d change her hair, that might decrease her overall frumpiness. Those bangs are TIRED.

  • wontons

    Attacked by clams.

  • demidaemon

I wish the hem was a touch shorter, but I can live with this.

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

is no one else bugged by the fit issues in the chest and underarms? also, clams. why? is this the only thing her hair does? does it have no other skills? it just lays there, flat.
