
Yellow is apparently THEE color of the 2025 holiday season, given how many butters, marigolds, and dandelions have been gracing our front page for the last few weeks. We’re a little tapped out on the whole trend, which is partially why we’re turning the final call on Anya Taylor-Joy’s look at the Marrakech International Film Festival over to y’all. But the main reason we’re doing so is because it’s a genuinely interesting choice for her.




It’s interesting in the sense that it’s such a conventional choice. She tends to go for weirder fashion than this. It’s also interesting because of the various shades and textiles. If this were yet another all-yellow satin goddess gown, we probably wouldn’t even have featured it. But the skirt is gorgeous. The bodice looks a bit flimsy and poorly fitted, but we feel like a thick belt with a big buckle would do a lot to pull this look together. We can’t say we’re liking the flower trim at all. Way too craftsy. Still, we’re giving you a chance to convince us on this one:
