The Fall Guy had its premiere at SXSW and the buzz is very good. For these reasons, we are very much looking forward to the dual charm offensive about to be mounted by its extremely charming stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.

From a style perspective, they’re both coming off of awards season ruts; him because he essentially wore the same Ken-inspired suit for nearly a year and her because her awards season style as an Oscar nominee was a little on the bizarre and unfocused side.

Having said that, SXSW isn’t a place where you can expect the stars to be turning looks in Valentino or whatever. You might get a few of them to dress up, but it really depends on the project. He is essentially doing that method dressing thing here. It fits the venue but it also tends to look like he’s in costume as his character. Whatever. He looks hot.

EMILY BLUNT IN BALMAIN

This represents the kind of high-end fashion you can expect: a sporty Balmain with kicks. It’s worth an average mortgage payment but it feels relatable. She looks cute. Honestly, we have not one note, which is not something we could say about her last year’s worth of looks.
