In the interests of giving all the Oscar acting nominees a spotlight now and then, and also as payback for all of the nitpicking we’ve been subjecting her to lately, here’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You star Rose Byrne, getting it right at the BAFTAs.

She looks fantastic. But because we are the bitches we are, we’ll just note two things here. Buttery yellows can be awfully tricky for the pale folk, and when you get into the floaty chiffon area, you’re risking looking a little Stepford Wife. That’s not a criticism, just an observation. She’s pulling it off quite well and the vaguely retro Miu Miu aesthetic is serving her really well her. Love those earrings. She’s famously not a smiler and that’s fine. She’s not here to sell us a refrigerator or win a pageant. But we do think her affect in combination with the severe hairstyle she tends to prefer does her no favors in a picture-taking setting. This is a light, happy dress and that is quarterly financial review hair.
