‘Emily in Paris’ Renewed for Sixth Season at Netflix

After a season split between France and Italy, Emily in Paris is heading home.
Netflix has renewed the romantic dramedy starring Lily Collins for a sixth season. The pickup for Emily in Paris comes less than three weeks after season five premiered to typically solid viewing figures: The season racked up 26.8 million views worldwide (155 million hours divided by a running time of 5 hours, 47 minutes) over its first 11 days.
The season follows Emily (Collins) to Italy, where she opens a satellite office for the marketing agency she works for in Rome. She strikes up a new romantic relationship there, but — spoiler alert — ultimately opts to return to Paris.

Last year, Bond fans received seismic news about the future of the classic British spy franchise: Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson – the children of Albert R “Cubby” Broccoli, the legendary producer of the original James Bond films – who have overseen the series since the ’90s, ceded creative control to Amazon Studios. (The streamer bought MGM, the studio which produces the Bond movies, back in 2022, but has now reportedly shelled out an additional $1 billion for the right to freely develop this particular cinematic universe on its own terms.)

The items will appear in Christie’s American Collector series, which the auction house says is designed to mark the semiquincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The series includes nine auctions and about 700 lots, with an estimated value of $80 million to $120 million. Sales will take place online and at Rockefeller Center in New York City from January 13 to 18, with public previews scheduled January 16 to 22.
