During Paris Haute Couture Week, Roger Vivier presents Atelier Animalier, a Spring–Summer 2026 Pièce Unique collection unveiled at Maison Vivier. Conceived under the creative direction of Gherardo Felloni, the new collection brings together archives, craftsmanship and contemporary creation in a single cultural moment, alongside the presentation of the new monograph Roger Vivier: Heritage and Imagination, published by Rizzoli.
Atelier Animalier is an exploration of animalier as a historical code of the Maison, not as decoration, but as a language. A language rooted in instinct, movement and sensuality, and deeply tied to the vision of Monsieur Vivier, who from the 1960s onward used animalier motifs to express power, elegance and transformation. Drawing directly from the Roger Vivier archives, Gherardo Felloni reinterprets leopard, zebra and giraffe motifs originally developed in the 1960s. Removed from their original context and showcased today, these familiar codes take on new meaning. What was once radical becomes contemporary again; what is known appears renewed.
This shift of environment, from archive to pièce unique, is central. Under Felloni’s eye, animalier is an active attitude, shaped by today’s cultural sensibility and by the Maison’s enduring savoir-faire. The Atelier Animalier Pièce Unique collection comprises 11 one-of-a-kind Efflorescence Jewel bags.
