Darlings, we’re very late clearing this particular event out of our folders because of our Paris trip and subsequent jet lag, although we did manage to single out Reese Witherspoon’s somewhat dated look at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards before we hopped on the plane home. But now it’s long past time to tell the other attendees what went wrong with their style choices, so let’s get to it.
Aimee Lou Wood in Chloé

Kudos to her team for finding the exact dress to perfectly hide all of her innate charm and quirk. Congratulations. You made her generic.
America Ferrera

This is great, although we think we’d like it without the jacket.
Erin Doherty (in Louis Vuitton) and Owen Cooper

She doesn’t appear to be a fuss and frippery kind of girl, so we like the sharpness and interest in the suit, including the mismatched buttons and the color blocking. His looks is kind of cute and we could see the argument that it has a youthfulness to it, but it also looks like something a high school teacher nearing retirement would wear.
Gillian Anderson in Stella McCartney

Not your color, Gillian.
Ncuti Gatwa in Burberry

The proportions are fun, but we wouldn’t exactly call them flattering.
Olivia Wilde in Bella Freud

Love this.
Rosamund Pike (in Erdem) and Celia Imrie

Celia looks fantastic. We hate the color, shape and unfinished hem on Rosamund’s.
