Renee Zellweger joined her Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy co-stars Leo Woodhall and Chiwetel Ejiofor for the unveiling of the Bridget Jones statue in Leicester Square. Wait, what?

This is very confusing. Why is she getting a statue? And why now, when the last Bridget Jones movie opened nine months ago? Is this some sort of For Your Consideration stunt? Because we’ve gotta say, we don’t think Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy has received so much as a whisper of awards buzz and besides, who puts up a statue of a film character to generate buzz?

Leo looks adorable here. He understands that an outerwear look requires layering and contrast and texture in order to appear photogenic. A cute hat helps too. Chiwetel’s look is a little more conservative in tone. The coat is gorgeous and we love the shoes. Not crazy about the collar situation but it’s not a dealbreaker. Renee’s coatdress is impeccable, but it’s so plain that it kind of disappears in pictures. We’re not offended by the white shoe choice (Labor Day isn’t a thing in England, after all), but we do think they’re kind of jarring.
