We’ve managed to piss off a few Jeremy Allen White fans by correctly noting that the man has a dully generic promotional style, so we will start off this post about the star of Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere at the Berlin premiere by noting that he is wearing a very nice suit and pair of shoes for the occasion. Not a single item fits him correctly. The sleeves are too long, the pants are too short, the tie is too long and the shoes are hilariously too big on his feet. The results make him look like an awkward twelve-year-old. It doesn’t help that every choice was made so as to be as undistinctive as possible. Which isn’t to say that this look would have been improved by wild colors and textiles, but if you’re going to work a generic classic look, the details need to be impeccable. At least with more expressive style choices you can get away with a few fit or proportion issues if the overall look is interesting.
