Pamela Anderson has been making the promo rounds for The Naked Gun and some of you may be happy to hear that this will be a post without any complaints about her makeup-light style, partially because she seems to have figured out how to make it work and partially because these are all either day looks or dressy-casual looks and there’s less of an issue sporting a clean face with them than it is with things like satin gowns and diamonds.

This is very cute. It’s a nice change of pace to see a star dressed for summer in New York while it’s summer in New York. We don’t think pale colors or white make the best choice for her, but it turns out vaguely retro styles work really well for her, partially because of the coiffed hair and partially because of the thin brows. We wouldn’t have recommended pumps here, but that’s a lovely pair.
IN TOM FORD AT THE SIRIUSXM STUDIOS
A really sharp look that feels just a little too heavy for July. She’s so associated with the Southern California aesthetic that it makes for a pleasant surprise to see her working such a New York kind of look. We can’t say we love that half belt thing. And we think the shape of the sunglasses isn’t the best choice for her.
IN GUCCI ON LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS
It’s a pretty design, except for the lace hem, which makes it feel like a slip. We still don’t think pale yellow’s a good choice for her. We’ve been holding off on talking about this because we weren’t sure if it was an actual trend or not, but this is like the third or fourth time this month we’ve seen a ladystar sporting pale or “nude” sheer tights and now we have to wonder if they’re actually coming back. Granted, the other times we noticed them, Jamie Lee Curtis was sporting them, so this may be an instance of mature women not wanting to go without a little help. We don’t see anything wrong with them, but we think a whole generation of women raised on bare, tanned legs are likely to find them a little fussy and unflattering.
