Tyler Perry and Taraji P. Henson Promote STRAW on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON

Straw star Taraji P. Henson came to The Tonight Show and brought Tyler Perry with her. To be honest, we think that’s kind of weird, but Perry straddles that line between director and star. He also has a bit of a rep as a control freak, but he and Taraji have a long collaborative partnership, so who can say? He’s there to sell tickets.

We’d have liked to have just featured her dress, but he wouldn’t stray more than five feet from her, so we suppose we’ll have to look at him too. He’s fine. The look is well put together and every piece works, although we hate those dumb slits in the pants. We like the boots. She looks spectacular. It’s a lot of dress for a talk show, but that’s been the trend of late. Personally, we think this would have been better in a picture-taking situation because on camera, it tends to be a little overwhelming. On the other hand, you can’t take your eyes off her, which means it’s doing what it’s supposed to be doing. It definitely looks better when she’s seated, because the bodice design is a little unflattering. The sandals are fantastic with it.
