The White Lotus and Parenting star Parker Posey continues her all-caftan publicity tour. In so many ways, that previous sentence should be filling us with joy. Unfortunately, our Gen X Indie Queen is determined to rush headlong into her Auntie Mame years. Girlfriend looks like she dumped the contents of her makeup bag on a pillow and then slammed her face into it.
Before anyone corrects us, that is not technically a caftan. It is caftan-adjacent. It is also the best thing she’s worn in a while. Unfortunately, she went wackadoo on the styling. We don’t mind the hair style (although it’s more than a bit aging), but that makeup is a crime. She looks a little crazy – and not in a good way. If this woman was walking towards us in CVS, we’d be looking to escape to the next aisle. After we compliment her dress, of course. We get that the gold slides are kind of trendy right now, but they always look like Nana slippers to us.
