We always have to resist doing a Karen Walker “Honey, what’s all this? What’s happening here?” whenever we see Debra Messing. Maybe that’s not fair to her, but it has less to do with her most famous role and way more to do with… well, all of this:
Admittedly, it looks way better than it should when she’s sitting down, but that’s because the color looks great on her and you can’t really see how bizarre the design is. Knee-length dresses shouldn’t come with attached capes unless you’re Supergirl. All of that… stuff hanging off the front is terrible, but not as terrible as that skirt. We suppose you could argue that it was a smart choice for an appearance that doesn’t require her to stand, but why would you wear a dress that needs to be obscured so much in order to work?
