Oh. So they’re doing a whole logo-branding thing. How disappointing. If you’re just joining us, shame on you for being late, but yesterday we noted that Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, despite the former being a non-fashion girl and the latter having a nearly impeccable red carpet history, seem to have adopted a Zoolander-esque “Let’s dress in high-fashion clown clothes” approach for the press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2. It would also appear, based on these outfits and the ones they wore yesterday, that they’re taking a Wicked/Barbie approach of restricting their outfit colors to the film’s branding: red, white and black.

We hate that they’re taking such a gimmicky approach to the fashion when this is one of the most fashion-oriented IPs of the past fifty years. Meryl looks great, but she shouldn’t have to sport team colors. Also, that belt does nothing for her outfit. Anne’s top is fun, but she’s got her pants on backwards.
