Freed from the constraints of having to do an Oscar campaign (i.e., she wasn’t nominated), Babygirl star Nicole Kidman took a more relaxed, but no less kickass approach to her style for the Critics Choice Awards.
We love this. There’s nothing new on offer here. We’ve certainly seen plenty of menswear-inspired looks on the ladystars in the last few years. But we really like the little details, like the polka dot tie, striped shirt and mens-style watch. Too often with these mansuit looks, the details get overlooked, but putting together a good suit-and-tie look for a woman has the same requirements as one for a man, so it’s nice to see some thoughtfully chosen details. She should have a belt, though. And it would be nice if we could see her shoes.
