Rose Byrne premiered her new film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You at the Berlin International Film Festival and she took the occasion of her attendance to work two wildly different looks.
IN PRADA AT THE IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU PREMIERE
This is odd. The top is gimmicky, but we can get behind the idea of some armored womenswear at this particular moment. It’s just that the design of it doesn’t really go anywhere and the construction is a little rough. It just sort of hangs off her. Pairing a top like that with plain black pants makes no sort of sense to us. To be fair, we’re finding it hard to articulate exactly what that top needs, but that’s an indication to us that it may just be an unworkable piece. Having said that, a pair of faded jeans would look great with it (but wrong for the setting).
IN CHANEL AT THE BLUE MOON PREMIERE
It’s giving Puritanical Armless Ghost, which sounds more fabulous than this. She’s shapeless, it looks heavy, and the feathers are overused to the point of silliness. We appreciate both of these outfits for being so odd, but unforch, we don’t like either of them.
