Charli XCX came to the LACMA Art + Film Gala in the kind of ensemble you might assume we’d hate.
We do not, however, hate it. Look, we don’t make the rules that the pop girlies have to serve body – and we don’t even apply those rules – but if a pop girlie wants to get her hottie on, our criticisms only fly if they do it in a way that bores us or looks dumb to us. Our point? This is hot. We’ll repeat what we said last week when Megan Thee Stallion was also serving the hottie frocks: at a time when it’s routine to see panties on the Oscars or Met Gala red carpet, a sequined bra is downright demurely tasteful. But we have to be honest and note that the string sash looks kind of dumb. We also think she could’ve used a massive honking piece of jewelry.
