Pope Tilda is a pontiff of many moods, faces and styles. One day, she’s a robotic androgyne in the Bowie mode and the next, she’s a mature society matron supporting the arts, like so:
Such is the power of the pontiff that she lends even the dreariest and heaviest tweeds a sense of edginess and irony. She’s making that absolute tapestry of a skirt look effortlessly chic, but we’re afraid she doesn’t have the miraculous ability to turn that hideous top into a choice that makes any kind of sense with it. That collar treatment is annoyingly unattractive. Still, the whole tends to look better on her than the model in the runway shot. That’s something, at least.
