Because sometimes, we’ve just got to give an attagirl to an actress in a prestige project wearing an interesting dress on the film festival circuit. It can all get so samey-same after awhile that it becomes genuinely refreshing to see something different. Sophia Brown attended the BFI London Film Festival Headline Gala for her film Hard Truths in a little number that vascillates between sassy-retro-cute and a little on the mumsy side.
It’s a shame, because the design is interesting and the textiles look great on her, but that skirt is in desperate need of a lining. It dould also help the design tremendously if it didn’t sport a handkerchief. Everything from the waist up look great, but everything from the waist down looks unfinished. It’s a good effort, so we hope she gets access to better pieces going forward.
