The ladies of Emilia Perez are bouncing all over the world promoting their film and working classic, simply, clearly highly coordinated looks.

This is a problem for bitchy gay fashion bloggers such as we because they’re just not giving us much to work with. They all look good, but unmemorable and we wouldn’t say that any of these looks take a great picture.

We like this for her and we feel like she’s getting better and better at securing the right kinds of designs for herself. She clearly likes simple black dresses without embellishments, but we wish she’d indulge in a print or a brooch or some sequins just to give these looks a little more oomph and glamour.

It surprises us to admit this, but we actually like this one too. It’s way too fussy and ruffly and overdesigned for our tastes, but what we’ve been noticing about her in the last few months is that she’s actually better off in fussy, odd pieces than in classic or trendy ones. Still, the design of that skirt is just plain weird.

Again, it’s good. It’s fine. She looks pretty. But it’s a black hole in photographs. At the very least, get a black pump with a buckle or a gold heel or something. This is profesh and quietly chic, but it’s borderline funereal, assuming you’re the type of gal who goes to funeral in a slit-to-the-hip skirt.
