We’re wrapping up our busiest week in months with a very much expected Red Carpet Leftovers. Between the VMAs and the various film festivals running concurrently, there was no way we were ever going to keep up with it all. But we’ve still got some gas in the tank, so put your judgin’ pants on and come help us clean out our folders before we hit the bar.

People got weird about his weight loss – which he has explained as purely a decision on his part and not a reason to speculate about his health – but we’re going to make a blunt assessment here. They were reacting as much or more to his face. The white beard really throws off the shape of it, especially in combination with the oversized shades. We would suggest ditching both, but if he’s sold on the beard, then we would suggest growing it out more to give his face length. The suit is nice, but he’s making the mistake many do after a significant weight loss: it’s a size too small.

Meh. We don’t love the cut of suit for him at all. We think brown suits work fine in and all sorts of styles and on all sorts of occasions, but if you want to trigger our gag reflex, pair it with a blue shirt.
