A whole bunch of TV stars came out for the Peabody Awards and some of them even managed to serve looks! Let’s see if you can pick out which ones…
Anson Mount
Sir. No. Absolutely not. Given the raw material this man is working with, there is simply no excuse for him ever looking mid – or worse, awkward – on a red carpet. Nothing here does a thing for him and none of it photographs well, which is a crime because he’s like supernaturally photogenic himself.
Bridget Everett
The political statement isn’t exactly subtle, but it’s not objectionable either. From a style standpoint, however, this is all really awful. Given her love of easy, flowy, colorful looks, she needs to explore all of the amazing options for caftans out there. This looks cheap and unflattering.
Darren Criss
Corporate (derogatory).
Erin Neufer
We’re shocked by how much we love this, given its overall primness and proximity to her own skin tone, but there’s this quietly chic whimsical thing happening and it really suits her.
Jelani Alladin in Garçon Couture
It’s too tight on him, but we love it for him anyway.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Honey, what’s all this, what’s happening, what’s going on here?
Kali Reis
Love everything in the bottom half. Unfortunately, the top half is not so great. The color of that jacket is harsh and the sheer crop top is ugly. She should’ve matched the jacket to the pants, gone topless, and buttoned the jacket.
Kumail Nanjiani
Can’t argue with that, although we think the jacket calls for a tie. Love the shoes.
Matt Bomer
We’re officially done with the monochromatic suit ensemble trend. It’s making Matt Bomer look mediocre.
Michaela Jaé Rodriguez
Meh. We don’t love the design, but we might be more appreciative of it if it didn’t suck up all of the light. A midnight blue would have served her better. It could use some jewelry too.
Patrick Stewart
Can’t argue with that.
Quinta Brunson in Carolina Herrera
This looks spectacular on her.
Rebecca Romijn
Oof. The non-color is terrible, but not as terrible as that awkward hem length and those half-assed sleeves. The shoes are hideous but they’re the only interesting thing happening here.
Rose Byrne in Ulla Johnson
As far as iridescent green zebra prints go, this one isn’t bad, but those are terrible shoes to pair with it. She needes something with a little more oomph, like a black sandal with gold accents.
Sam Richardson
It’s a little too shiny for our tastes and the tailoring of the jacket seems a little snug, but these are quibbles. He looks sharp.
Shailene Woodley in Galvan London
Put on a dress, called it a night.
Wilson Cruz
We’d have liked a little more fullness in the pants, but this is fun and a little gay (non-derogatory).
