We probably should have prepared you for the scrolldown, but we burst out laughing when we saw what she had going on under that coat. The dress is probably cute and the loafers have possibilities, but there’s no way we can sign off on the socks.

Not to be mean, but this is the kind of look that would be chosen by someone who claims to love color but doesn’t have an understanding of how to use it in fashion. Any one of these pieces could make for a decent outfit (except for the lemon yellow turtleneck), but when you throw them all together, the eye doesn’t know where to go. It’s just loud and distracting.

It really says something that this look, which somehow manages to be sparkly and drab at the same time, is the best of the lot. We’re okay with the competing browns and we think gold shoes are probably the best choice you could make to liven this look up, but the sheer overlay on the skirt pretty much ruins it and that bowling league blouse is just awful.
