Originating from the collection of Debbie Reynolds, this petite two-piece gown features a strapless organza and taffeta mid-century pencil silhouette dress with boning in the bodice and padding in the bust; a matching, detachable 3/4 skirt in the form of an overskirt train with stiff tulle within the train to add dimension and stability; and a pleated black dust ruffle at the hem. The silk organza fabric of both the main dress and separate skirt attachment is embellished with peacock feather motifs with flower clusters embroidered in black-and-white thread at the hem and bodice. The interior of the dress and train features the “Paramount Pictures Inc. Ladies Wardrobe” stamp in yellow.

Originally white, the silk organza exhibits yellowing from age, turning it a shade of off-white. The lot also exhibits some seam separation and minor holes from age and handling.
